THE MOON and BRUNA

THE MOON and BRUNA
A musical story by Cristina Garcia-Prats

THE MOON AND BRUNA, is a musical story based on a poem by Apel·les Mestres.  It is aimed at preschool children of 3 to 5 years of age and a family public. The music and the text are original: melodies for the infants, accompanied on the piano and with other instruments such as contralto and soprano flutes, cymbal, music box and percussion.

Bruna is alLittle four-year-old girl who has always dreamed of going to the moon, and on her birthday, she actually does it. There she finds three moons, the full moon, the waxing one and the waning moon which sing and play various instruments to celebrate this important day for her. There is also the cat Violeta, the dog Ernest who lives on the moon, the fish Abel and Adam and a great magical world full of music and imagination.

The melodies and the words of the songs have been thought up so that small children can understand them and take part in this magical world and the musical adventure of the story.
